For this project, I was tasked with designing a load-bearing bracket for space-flight applications and was constrained to using acrylic material. I designed a custom component that was engineered to support a suit clip under a 60 pound tensile load for a minimum of 10 seconds and limited deflection to no more than 0.25 inches.
